Just a few tram stops from St Kilda is the local market that is the absolute favourite for many Melbourne residents when they need to stock up on all their food needs, from fresh produce, to seafood, deli goodies and even flowers.  But apart from a huge range of market vendors selling every food item you could imagine, there is plenty more to delight at South Melbourne Market.

If you are hungry, the street food style stalls and restaurants along Cecil St are a temptation that cannot be resisted.  The famous South Melbourne Dimmy stand is easily found by the long line for Melbourne’s very best dim sims, whilst the paella stand is almost as popular, and if it’s a coffee fix, Clement Coffee Roasters will certainly deliver the goods.  Other popular foodie stands include La Lapa and their decadent donuts or Agathe Patisserie, where you will find delicate French pastries that will take you back to Paris.
